At the annual DIES ACADEMICUS Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) honors young talents from across the entire spectrum of all university subjects for their outstanding dissertation or excellent artistic achievements. On this day, prizes from external companies, institutions, funding agencies and independent foundations as well as by designated trust foundations are awarded.
The next DIES ACADEMICUS will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, starting 5:15 p.m. at the „Alte Mensa“.
Directory of outstanding achievements
On the occasion of the DIES ACADEMICUS, the brochure “Directory of Outstanding Achievements (Verzeichnis ausgezeichneter Leistungen)” is published annually, in which the prizewinners are presented to the public with a brief profile. Please find the brochure on the german Website of GCC.
